The arsenic (ever wondered what number 33 on the periodic table was?) is combined with Sulfur in Realgar. Arsenic is included in pesticides, herbicides and insecticides because of its power of transformation and transmutation. 

Remember the famous toxicology maxim from the 16th-century physician Paracelsus. His original Latin phrase was Sola dosis facit venenum, which translates to "Only the dose makes the poison.”
