Properties:

Arkansas quartz is a deeply soulful and strong vibration of quartz. Faden Quartz used to be very, very rare out of Arkansas, but recently a seam of beautiful faden quartz has been discovered. We were able to get some of this very special collection and we love it. It’s hearty and strong and holds the power of the sacred Arkansas vibrations.

Faden Quartz are known the world over for their powers in healing. Many of them look like keys. Healers often use the inner thread to repair wounds, and/or draw lines of energetic light that mend or harmonize torn or separated forms. The thread is also used to direct light or anchor frequency or consciousness. When Faden Quartz forms, a quartz crystal is getting torn apart by widening fissures in host rocks. The crystal keeps mending itself as it is being split. Crystals that heal themselves in their process of growth have powerful capabilities to repair, according to the Doctrine of Signatures. Think about working with fadens when something is being split or torn open, spiritually or energetically. Use the faden to pave the way for the new repaired system.

Here’s a direct quote from mindat.org, because it could not be better said:

“Faden quartz forms in fissures in the host rock that widen slowly and steadily.

Quartz crystals inside the host rock will rupture when the fissure opens. In a silica rich solution, this rupture will heal quickly, forming a crystal that is attached to the opposing rock walls and bridges the new opening. While the fissure continues to open steadily, the crystal will also continue to crack and heal. Because growth is much quicker on fractured surfaces than on regular faces and because it leads to small regular faces on the opposite conchoidal fracture surfaces that do not perfectly match, some of the growth solution is included in the crystal. The repeated rupturing and healing leaves a scar of liquid and gas inclusions in the crystal: a white thread, the "faden".”
