This is one of only two man made crystal listings in the history of our shop! I became very interested in bismuth when I learned through topological physics that it exhibits quantum properties. In its natural form, bismuth is a silvery metal and number 83 on the periodic table. It can be cooked and then cooled to form these interesting crystals. Depending on how cool it is when the crystals are forming, the different colors will display. I loved this collection because of the colors and how each crystal feels like a temple or building in a whole city of light.
Bismuth basically superconducts electricity at its edges. Superconductivity is the doorway to the quantum world. In the quantum world, things can exist in two places at once, time can move backwards, and much much more. Topological insulators such as bismuth will create breakthroughs in quantum computing and the interaction between matter and energy. It’s time for healers as well as curious crystal lovers to experiment with these super cool crystals - which do look like they come from another world. They kind of give themselves away.
