Properties: 

Dark Smoky Quartz has been treated with gamma radiation to enhance the dark color in about 90% of the Smoky Quartz you’ll find at a common crystal shop. These gamma rays deeply affect the life-force of the crystal and its properties, such as its thermoluminescence and atomic structure. The trapped gamma rays are harmful to energetic biofields and we suggest refraining from using treated stones in healing settings. 

ALL of our stones are completely natural, free of heat, dyes and irradiation. This includes this rare dark-colored smoky quartz from Malawi. There are a few places on earth where these very dark colors are completely natural and these are always worth the treasure hunt.
