Properties: 

Demantoid (pronounced duh-MAN-toyd) is da-MAN when it comes to the mineral-rich and nourishing garnet species. For another micro-teaching moment: a druzy is a cluster of many crystals growing together on one shared surface. A geode is a cluster of crystals growing inside the host rock and it looks like looking into a little crystal cave. A druzy can form inside or outside the host rock, and in this case, it is outside. 

All of these deep-green crystals have a high rate of dispersion, which is the scientific term for sparkly. They really sparkle when you turn them in the light. Demantoid garnet is a calcium and iron rich form of garnet that is exceptionally rare. It likely has traces of chromium and magnesium in it, as well as hematite and magnetite inclusions!

If you are a garnet lover, this is a beautiful addition to your collection and will also fill the role of an exceptionally healing stone.

I can’t help but mention its direct correlation with liver blood, which will support the thyroid, thymus, sleeping, and grounding calmly into the body, to name just a few of its magic powers.
