You just found a hidden gem! We absolutely love red zircon and always rejoice when we can restock our limited supplies. We rarely find this, but are always looking for it. This listing is different from the small formed Red Zircon Crystal listing. These are not fully formed crystals, but partial crystals and rough red zircon mineral material. They are natural and real zircon, of course.

These are from Chillas, Pakistan. This area is in the Himalayan mountains near K2, the second tallest mountain peak on Earth. Chilas was previously a part of Tibet. The Silk Road runs through the region and it’s one of the oldest cradles of civilization with many ancient rock paintings and signs of very early humanity. 

This area can be hazardous when it comes to ethical mining practices. But, we only source these from local Pakistani miners who have small artisan mining endeavors and fight daily to keep the ‘big guys’ from engaging in more dark and depleting mining activities.

Red is the color of fire and the color of the heart. It’s connective, stimulating, uplifting and strengthening. This is like an oak tree for the heart. Rebuilding, strengthening, stabilizing and integrating.
