Properties: 

181 million years ago, during the early Jurassic epoch, a form of pine tree known as the Araucaria Araucana began its descent into the underworld. The trees bodies were pushed underground and compressed into fossils and over time became stone.

A tree that was compressed in the earth for millions of years and became a stone—that’s worth exploring.

This gives jet the memory and complexity of tree life and the power and wisdom of being an ancient stone. It is intelligent, very strong (spiritually), and can handle complex situations. It has always been used as a protective talisman because shamans all over the world could feel its inner strength and the power that ripples out around it. It can also induce inner vision, especially in regards to unburying the deep ancient past or uncovering the memory stored within the timelines of our souls’ records.

It is definitely a stone for the shamanic practitioner because it has an ancient soul that is open to engagement and connection. It can appear in dreams, arrive in visitations and presence itself in meditations. Once you feel it, you can’t unfeel it. You know it’s a living being. 

This jet was harvested in Northern Spain near the Camino de Santiago. This is a sacred road for pilgrimage that contains memory and information. Jet is one of the guardians of the road and a mystical and physical element that infuses the land and the travelers with power, wisdom and protection.
