Properties:
Chalcopyrite is a highly alchemical mineral that combines copper ore with sulfur and iron. Every specimen is like a unique work of art as golds, blues and other colors blend together with an iridescent shimmer covering parts of the surface. This trifecta of energies creates a rare dynamic qi which is very versatile in its applications. Think of it like a spark of fire that works well to ignite transformation on the surface of living things and works well with the liver and lungs. Surface symptoms can include the skin, the sensory orifices (especially the eyes and nose), hair, lungs (especially in relation to breathing in the surface/ external environment), and the lower orifices (genitals and anus).
Chalcopyrite can be moving and transformational in transforming these physical expressions, as well as deeper issues related to the liver and lung. Parasites, infections and even cancer have all been targets for the healing fires present within Chalcopyrite. Combine what you know about copper-rich sedimentary stones (like Chrysocolla or Malachite) with what you know about Pyrite. Then, realize that when all of these dynamics come together, you have a brand new alchemical presence that expresses new functions based in the relationships between all of these powerful elements. If I was asked to gather a group of stones that express the archetype of the dragon, Chalcopyrite would be in that small group.
